6:00 PM - 8:00 PM    Pickleball Social League - Pickleball Social League - Spring 2024
Join the town of Medway and USTA New England for their Intermediate Social Pickleball League for Adults 19+! Bring your own paddle; balls and nets will be provided. Players must know the rules of Pickleball, how to keep score, and be able to serve and rally. Intermediate level description: Dependable shot control and serves, increased consistency with some ability to control height/depth. Sustains short to medium length rallies with the understanding of variations of pace and depth of shots. This is equivalent to a 3.0 to 4.0 DUPR rating. A follow up email will be sent from USTA to all registrants with a review of the rules. On the last day, we will run a mini-tournament and prizes will be awarded to the top 2 players! **PLEASE NOTE - SPOTS ARE LIMITED! Wednesdays 6:00 - 8:00 pmSpring Dates:5/1 - 6/5 (rain date 6/12)Summer Dates:6/26 - 7/31 (rain date 8/7)Additionally, we are looking for a site coordinator to help USTA run this program. 8:30 AM - 11:00 AM    DUPR Rating Event - DUPR - Spring 2024 - June 1
USTA New England & Medway Parks and Recreation are hosting a Pickleball DUPR play eventat Medway HS courts. This event will allow players to obtain a DUPR rating which helps to ensure level-based play in future matches and programs. Players will sign up individually and will be playing with different players throughout the event. In order to receive their rating, players will need to create a free DUPR account at (www.mydupr.com) and join the club "USTA - New England." Dinking Clinic:This targeted clinic focuses on effective dinking, a skill crucial for controlling the pace and flow of the game from the non-volley zone. We will cover dink mechanics,  strategies, and placement, with drills tailored to enhance your touch, control, and decision-making at the net.
 
2:00 PM - 3:00 PM    Pickleball Clinic: 3rd shot drop - Pickleball Clinic - 3rd Shot Drop: June 8
Third Shot Drop Clinic:This targeted clinic focuses on the mechanics, timing, and placement of the third shot drop. Through a combination of drills, personalized coaching, and some drill games, you'll learn to neutralize your opponents' advantage, get up to the net more effectively, and set yourself up for offensive plays.

Learn to Play: Beginner–This clinic will provide participants with the fundamentals of pickleball. In these sessions, participants will learn fundamental pickleball strokes, as well as scoring and the basic rules and strategies of game play. Pickleball equipment, etiquette, and safety will also be covered.
 
10:00 AM - 12:00 PM    Learn to Play Pickleball: Improver - Learn to Play Pickleball - Improver: June 9
Learn to Play Pickleball: Improver – This clinic is for players who have taken Learn to Play: Beginner clinic and/or who understand the basic rules and fundamental pickleball skills and have practiced their fundamental strokes. These sessions will focus on more advanced strokes and strategies for playing winning pickleball. These clinics will include a mix of drills and game play. PREREQUISITE: Attendance at our Beginner Clinic and/or play at the 2.5+ skill level.
